Boarding

We offer separate feline and canine boarding in a climate-controlled environment. The dog runs are standard fabricated runs with fiberglass front doors to decrease noise and stress. Since there are fewer runs, we are able to have larger spaces to accommodate your canine companions. Along with the added space, the lower boarding numbers mean more outdoor time for your pups and less potential for disease transmission.

BSVC has numerous windows throughout their boarding facility to add natural light to enhance your dog’s stay and make them feel more comfortable.

Boarding at Big Springs Veterinary Clinic(BSVC) is a service offered to existing clients only. This helps ensure the safety of our boarders and our staff.

Food is provided for your dogs while boarding, but owners can bring their own food as well. We feed Purina EN to our dog boarders, a highly digestible veterinary formulation that helps with gastrointestinal distress, thereby helping to decrease the potential for stress-related gastrointestinal upset.

We also give Purina Fortiflora, which is a veterinary probiotic used to help balance the gut flora of your dog. This supplement, along with the food, is an additional step we take to try and reduce boarding-related gastrointestinal upset.

Pickup

Boarding pickup and drop-off are during normal business hours, Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We do not offer weekend pickups. No pick-ups will be scheduled via weekend email or social media. No exceptions.

Daycare

Daily daycare services are offered at Big Springs Veterinary Clinic. Daycare not only offers a chance for socialization but the opportunity to burn off some energy while our humans are at work! BSVC offers a large fenced turnout area for your pups. Daycare dogs are individually assessed before playing in a group setting.

Because of our fewer accommodations, boarding and daycare fill up fast, especially during the holidays. Reservations should be made in advance.
